V.A. Hospital Location Survey
The Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC:
http://www.louisville.va.gov/)located
in Louisville, KY has been evaluating options for the
location of a medical center to replace the current
facility. To help inform their decision, the VA contracted
with M. Davis and Co. (MDAC: http://www.mdavisco.com/)
of Philadelphia to ascertain veterans’ views concerning the
proposed options by surveying a representative sample of
the estimated 39,000 veterans in the Louisville VAMC
coverage area. Five hundred thirty-seven veterans were
interviewed by telephone by MDAC interviewers. The survey
achieved a response rate of 63%. GR&C teamed with MDAC,
to develop the questions, analyze the results, and draft
the report.
