Albert
Einstein Healthcare Network / Philadelphia Area Jewish
Population Study
The
Center for Health Policy and Research at the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network has
been chosen to conduct the 2009 Philadelphia area
Jewish Population Survey. Einstein CEO Barry R.
Freedman expects this collaboration with The Jewish Federation of Greater
Philadelphia to build upon Einstein's tradition as
an institution with strong connections to Jewish
agencies throughout the region. The soon to be
completed study will provide population size estimates
and address important questions about Jewish identity
and affiliation, patterns of mobility, household
characteristics, socio-demographics, health and social
service needs. In addition to highlighting changes
over time and comparisons with other Jewish
communities, the study results will be used as a
planning and assessment tool, and help guide
Federation allocations. Sid Groeneman was selected to
be a consultant, assisting AEHN’s research team with
aspects of the study design, the data analysis and
reporting.
